What is the difference between a double and a king size bed?
A king (150 × 200 cm) is 15 cm wider and 10 cm longer than a double (135 × 190 cm). That gives each sleeper 75 cm of width instead of 67.5 cm — roughly the difference between sharing and having your own space. If either of you is over about 5ft 10in, the extra 10 cm of length is worth it.

How big is a super king bed?
A UK super king is 180 × 200 cm (6ft × 6ft 6in) — exactly the width of two 90 cm singles. It is the largest standard UK size. Larger “emperor” beds (around 200 × 200 cm) exist but are not a standard size across manufacturers, so bedding choice is limited.
What size room do I need?
