Privacy Policy
How Berkshire & Rowe collects and uses personal information when you browse, order, or request fabric swatches.
Information we collect
Name, email, phone, delivery address, order configuration details, messages sent through the contact form, and payment status from Stripe. We also process basic technical data (such as IP address and browser type) needed to run the website securely.
How we use it
To process and deliver orders, reply to enquiries, send order confirmation emails, provide customer service, improve the site, and meet legal and accounting obligations. Our lawful bases are performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running the business, and complying with the law.
Payment processing
Card payments are handled by Stripe. Stripe processes payment data under its own privacy terms. We receive confirmation of payment, not your full card number.
Sharing
We share data only with providers needed to fulfil your order (for example courier / two-man delivery partners, Stripe, and our email provider), or where required by law.
Cookies and local storage
We keep your basket in your browser’s local storage so it is still there when you return. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we host our fonts ourselves rather than loading them from third parties.
Retention
Order records are kept for as long as needed for warranty, accounting and legal requirements (usually six years, the period UK accounting records must be kept).
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct, delete or restrict it, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
